Phew, we’ve been waiting for these guys for quite a long while, but they’re finally here! The Speedtech Skymate is a solid windmeter that seems to have been designed with windsurfers and kiteboarders in mind. In addition to measuring the current windspeed (in your choice of knots, mph, kph, feet/minute, meters/second and Beaufort) at your favorite launch spot, it computes the min/max/average speeds, and even tosses in the temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) for good measure.

The Skymate’s pocketknife design folds to keep all its precious innards protected, and not only does it float in water, it is water-resistant and shock proof to boot! These little guys just showed up in the shop, and we’re excited that for now on, there will be no more guessing on what sail to rig!

Next up is the Naish Deluxe Golf Roller Bag, which seems like a crazy thing for us to stock. Nevertheless, kiteboarders love this large padded bag, as it does a great job protecting their “golf clubs” when traveling by air. Yes, this bag is large enough to hold a couple “golf clubs” along with your “golf board” and the other gear you need for “golfing.”

Just to make sure, we’re talking about “golfing” here, right? Right!
